6 LTTE bodies handed over to the ICRC - Ampara

The Sri Lanka Security Forces handed over six bodies of LTTE cadres to the ICRC at Ampara hospital at 10.30 a.m this morning, Monday the 26th of March.

Defence sources said that LTTE bodies were found on Saturday the 24th of March in a search operation conducted following the confrontation took place at Unnichchi, South-West of Valachchenai in Batticaloa.

Meanwhile, the STF personnel who retaliated to the LTTE's small arms attack killed two LTTE cadres at Sangamankanda in Ampara last night, Sunday the 25th of March. The STF night foot patrol was attacked by the terrorists at 7.00 p.m yesterday and no damages reported for the security forces personnel, sources said.

Two dead bodies of LTTE cadres, a T-56 weapon and two magazines were found by the troops who conducted a search operation in the area following the attack.
