LTTE Mortar attack injures seven civilians - Welioya
A Sporadic mortar attack was launched by the LTTE terrorists on Sunday the 18th of March targeting the civilians in a Sinhalese village at Athawatunuwewa in Welioya.
The hapless civilians panicked and ran helter-skelter with their beloved children as the first mortar barrage hit the village at 1.00 p.m on Sunday. Three civilians including a sixty nine (69) year-old elderly female and nine (9) year-old child who were in their residents received injuries due to the incident.
On the same day the LTTE terrorists attacked this Sinhalese village at 7.15 p.m again with mortar bombs. Four civilians sustained injuries and few houses were destroyed in the second attack too. Four year-old infant and fifteen year-old chid were among the victims who received injuries.
